My love for the Bobbi Brown make up range was, in all honesty, confined to their eye shadows and palettes. Any purchase Iv made I have loved the colours and textures, and have never been dissapointed.
I did try one of their lipsticks, and in truth, I wasnt a fan, but it could have been the colour that I didnt like, (it was in a summer collection set I bought) rather than the product, so I will reserve judgement on those.
One of my great loves is watching make up tutorials on youtube. In particular, Sam and Nic Chapman from Pixiwoo. (if you havent discovered them yet, seriously, where have you been? Watch immediately here)
They recently did a “five looks you must master” video, and one of the products used throughout was the Bobbi Brown brightening blush in “Pink Truffle”
Now, I know you are meant to use a blusher in a colour similar to the colour you blush, (and I blush a bright, no-hiding-it scarlett pink, not bronzy/pink) but if you read my review on my recent Charlotte Tilbury purchase (read here if you fancy) you will know that I tend to ignore the whole make up rules malarkey. If I like it I wear it! Simple.
This blusher is gorgeous. As I have come to expect from Bobbi Brown, the texture is amazing, and the colour is very buildable. The brand say that this blusher “delivers the perfect mid-winter glow”, and it kinda does. I feel that the highlight strip gives a sheen to the blusher, and totally lifts my complexion, without the (sometimes) too shimmery look of a fully applied highlighter. Its also infused with mica powder, which is an amazing ingredient in reflecting light, always good for blurring out a few, ahem, lines. Fabulous, and so natural for a day time make up and I think it will look lovely over a tan in the summer months.
