My go to Summer Fragrances

There is something about summer scents that can evoke memories of summers past isn’t there. You can spritz on a scent and it instantly takes you back to a day, an event, a moment. I love that.

I tend to have a couple of scents that I go to every summer, and just a whaft of one of them puts a smile on my face. I thought Id share my fave’s with you.

My number one spot has to go to a scent that I purchase every year, and have done for about 4 years now. Its the limited edition, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. I buy the body butter, (which is to die for and I urge you to rush straight to the shops and get) and usually the perfume every year when it is launched. This year, Estee Lauder launched a Skinscent option too, a spritz that you can spray anywhere on your body, and is a little fresher than the perfume. Its also more cost effective as you get 100ml for around £4 more than the 50ml perfume. Either option is a light, soft fragrance, Its my go to daytime summer scent, and I adore it. I often wear just the body butter on its own in the day as it scents your skin all day, as well as making it feel like silk.

Estee Lauder Skinscent – £59                                           Estee Lauder Whipped Body Butter – £34

My evening fragrance that I go back to time and time again in the summer months is Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, and as you can see, I have nearly got through this bottle already! Its a heady mix of florals, amber and vanilla and instantly makes me think of balmy nights spent outside of London bars, sipping cocktails, or alfresco dining in a foreign land, watching the world go by. Again, I find this scent lasts all night on my skin, and rarely needs topping up. People always comment when I wear this one, and again, the body lotion on its own is a beautiful option for daytime wear.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb – £52 – £100

My love affair with Jo Malone began with the purchase of a bath oil, (you can read about that here) and for me, there is always something special about visiting a Jo Malone store. My favourite is the Sloane Square, London store, (on Sloane Terrace). Its a small, boutique style store and the ladies are sooooooo lovely there. I often go in for a decadent hand massage when Im in that area. It makes me feel so fancy! Anyway, back to perfumes. The Wood Sage and Sea Salt scent from Jo Malone is a fresh, clean scent that really is reminiscent of beach walks and fresh air. I love it for daytime and the sophisticated mix of woody sage and fresh sea salt make it a real unique scent. Gorgeous!

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt – £44

I hope you like my choices, and if you haven’t smelt any of them, go and have a spritz. Im sure you will agree that they just scream Summer!

Id love to hear what your favourite fragrances are for the warmer months. Being a massive fragrance junkie Im always keen to discover new ones so leave me suggestions in the comments x

Agree, totally! I often use the matching body lotions to layer up, that definitely makes them last longer. I tend to buy gift sets in Boots in January when they all go half price….

I layer my philosophy fragrance as well. It doesn’t last! I used to wear Angel, but I’ve been getting away from that lately.
