Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette – The Prettiest Palette EVER

April 28, 2018

There is absolutely no hiding from the fact that I have an unhealthy obsession with eyeshadow palettes. If and when I feel I need it, I will check myself into palette rehab, but for now, lets oohhh and aahhhh over my new baby. Its a beauty. I am in love. I feel a strong bond to it. With its palest pink casing, delicate lace pattern and heart shaped gold clasp, its worthy of any Instagram square. In fact, I challenge you to find a palette that is packaged as pretty…… making its debut outing on the blog, I give you, the new and improved, Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette.

Too Faced, a completely cruelty free brand, is pretty new to me. If I am honest, I always felt it was aimed at the youngsters with its sweet chocolate and peach scents, and, dare I say, slightly cheap looking packaging. Id never really taken too much notice of it until I was recommended the Milk Chocolate bronzer (the perfect light bronzer for us fair ladies) for my winter pale skin. I picked this bronzer up, and was so impressed with the product itself, that I had to admit to myself that Id judged the brand far to harshly and yes, on its appearance. I was shallow. Im sorry Too Faced……

My weakness in make up is probably eyeshadow palettes first, lipsticks second and if either of those have a nude tone going on, I have zero resistance. I had seen the Natural Eyes Palette in my local Debenhams, and its mix of matte and shimmery tones of beiges, palest pinks and warm chocolates were right up my street. Sadly, it was always out of stock. Well blooming hallelujah to that bit of luck, as the brand revamped the formula and the packaging, and it is literally my palette of dreams. Every thing about it is beautiful from its gorgeous box it comes in, to the much better quality of the palette packaging itself. It reminds me a little of Ted Baker type vibes. Very girly and pretty.

Of course the shadows themselves are amazing, and those of you that like the sweet scent Too faced are known for, don’t fear, its still there. You have three large, fairly light and neutral colours which are generously sized, then six bolder, stronger colours which are a little smaller. They all have an embossed pattern in the eye shadows. Too Faced have also reformulated them to now be infused with coconut butter, to ensure a creamier, more comfortable wear. These eyeshadows blend like a dream, and as you can see from the swatches, are well pigmented. I find you do get a little fallout from these, more so in the darker colours, but not as much as my well loved Urban Decay pallets. Its no biggy. I love the colours in this, and probably for the first time ever, there is not a single colour that I wouldn’t use. I think my favourites are Strip Poker, Cashmere Bunny and Push Up. I wear Strip Poker a lot on its own for a natural make up look. The palette has been devised to create three looks, using three shadows, which is how they are set out in the palette. You have Natural Nude (top row), Natural Flirt, (middle) and Naked Noir (bottom). Tell me these are not all just delicious!

The staying power of these shadows is also amazing.To give you an example, I used my usual primer, (Urban Decay eye potion) and applied my make up at about 7.30. the colour stayed crease free and perfect until about 6.30. Then I started to see a little wear.  I have so far used colours from all different rows, Im a rebel like that, but for the purpose of experimenting, Im gonna give the three looks a go. Watch out on Instastories for that little gem……..(I pull some cracking faces when applying make up, so we are talking full on glam as ever)

If you are looking for a good quality, gorgeously neutral colour palette with a mix of matte and shimmer, then this is for you. They do also have an all matte collection too that is on my wish list. Coz, you know, I need more palettes……..

You can feast your eyes on both beauties in these links if you fancy a peak;

Natural Eye Shadow Palette (featured) £34

Natural Matte Collection £34

Milk Chocolate Bronzer £25

What do you think of my new love? Id love to know your weakness when it comes to make up if you have one? Let me know in the comments. Have you discovered Too Faced yet? Anything else from the brand you’d recommend I try??
