My top 5 nude lipsticks

Nude lipsticks are always popular. I do have the occasional flirt with colour, but nude is just so wearable isn’t it. Im sure theres not a woman in the country that dosent have at least one nude hue in their make up bag. I blooming love a nude, (no, not like that, filthy) but find getting the shade right can be trial and error. Im a pale, over 40 blonde, with a pink undertone to my skin, so have to get the shade right. If not, you can get the yellow teeth, concealer lips, all-blend-into- one kinda look, and although Im sure thats a strong look for some, not quite what I had in mind.

I thought I would share with you my 5 favourites Iv found so far in my quest for the perfect nude lip. Hope its helpful!

Mac – Blankety

One of my clients recommended this colour to me, and Im glad she did. Its a really creamy, beige nude. This is my absolute favourite when I have a bit of a tan on my face. I use this loads in the summer months.

Charlotte Tilbury – Pillow Talk

I purchased this one a couple of months ago, and blooming love it! Its a slightly darker nude, so I tend to wear this one when I want a little stronger colour. The texture is lovely too, despite this colour being in their Matte Revolution range, (matte lippys,  as we know, can be more drying) Love, love, love.

Loreal – Blush In A Rush

This is probably my only pinky nude that I own. You can probably see Im definately more of a browny-nude gal. I was drawn to this one as a nice colour for spring, and blooming love it!

NYX Plush Gel lip colour – Nude Beach

I only purchased this one recently, and this late entry has kicked Mac Patisserie out of the top 5.  NYX was a brand recommended to me by the gorgeous lady that writes the Highstreet Beauty blog. Its a fab blog for affordable brands. (You can visit her here.) I really love the texture, it feels balmy and hydrating. A soft nude that Iv been using daily since I bought it 2 weeks ago.

Mac – Modesty

This was my first Mac lipstick that I bought, and re buy every time it runs low, and I still love it. Its the perfect nude for my colouring, and my go to lippy.

So there you have it. My current favourites. I am sure I will buy many more barely there colours. I just cant resist! What are your favourite nudes, any recommendations?
